4impact: A Social Entrepreneurship Program for Students

Students from University of Missouri System universities can participate in this new program developed by Mizzou students in the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) and sponsored by the employees of Veterans United.

4impact offers students an opportunity to develop their ideas that have a social impact into a new venture with access to mentorship through engaging workshops and an application pipeline. The end goal is to give students an opportunity to present business ventures with the caveat of positively influencing the social good of society. Finalists will be awarded up to $5,000 for the most promising social ventures.
Students participating in the 4impact program will benefit from two workshops. The first one will be led by serial entrepreneur JD Messinger at 3 p.m. April 8 and the second will be led by investor and Silicon Valley veteran Jeff Wasson at 3 p.m. April 15.
Eligibility
- 4impact is open to any full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Mizzou, UMKC, Missouri S&T and UMSL.
- Individuals or student teams may apply.
- Ideas may be at any stage of development, from fresh concepts and innovations to those that already have customer traction.
- Ideas may be services or products.
- Ideas may be either for-profit or nonprofit ventures. If for-profit, there must be a strong argument for the impact on social good.
- If you attend school on a student visa, please be aware that prize money may be awarded as a scholarship. It is up to you to determine whether this may impact your status.
- Applicants must attend all required 4impact virtual events.
