Policies Developed
MU is committed to increasing knowledge and understanding of issues facing Missourians through comprehensive research, analysis and program evaluation. MU policy researchers study both economic development policies and the effects of public policy on economic development. MU also provides research-based education on public policy issues.
The MU Office of Research sets standards for policies in procuring funding, conducting research, managing resources and working with human and animal subjects.
Mizzou develops, hosts, supports and fosters relationships with research institutes that analyze and help shape public policy in Missouri and beyond, including the Rural Policy Research Institute, the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute, the Center for Applied Research and Environmental Systems, the Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis and the Center for Family Policy and Research.
