Dr. Fu-Hung Hsieh

Dr. Fu-Hung Hsieh's work with plant proteins is currently utilized at Beyond Meat

The University of Missouri is home to a vast wealth of brilliant researchers and entrepreneurs who are making tremendous leaps in their respective fields. This week, our Office is highlighting Dr. Fu-Hung Hsieh for his outstanding and innovative approaches in biological resesarch. We will be highlighting 3 more innovative entrepreneurs over the course of the next 3 weeks. Video profiles were created, compiled, and previewed at the MU Entrepreneurial Recognition Breakfast in celebration of MU technologies and faculty.

Week 2: Dr. Fu-Hung HsiehDr. Fu-Hung Hsieh

Fu-Hung Hsieh is a professor in the Bioengineering Department at the University of Missouri. Winner of the 1998 Chancellor’s award for outstanding research and creative activity in the physical and mathematical sciences, Hsieh joined Mizzou Engineering after having worked five years for premier Canadian research organizations and seven years at the Quaker Oats Company. His current research is funded by the Department of Agriculture, the United Soybean Board and the Consortium of Plant Biotechnology Inc.
