Professional Opportunities

The 2013 Governor's Conference on Economic Development took place on September 5th and 6th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. If you weren't able to attend the event this year, here is a quick summary of the event. At the conference, Governor Jay Nixon welcomed keynote speaker Austan Goolsbee. Goolsbee is one of the world's leading experts on business, government and the economy. He currently serves as a member of the Economic Advisory Panel to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as an Economic Consultant for ABC News.

At this year's conference there were four unique sessions open to all Conference attendees tailored to Missouri's economic environement. Such sessions included: "Automotive Industry in Missouri: Driving Growth" and "The Missouri Charge: Positioning Missouri as a the Global Hub for Emerging Small Modular Technology".
