Developing Human Resources
The Human Resources Economic Development Committee considers and recommends the best manner for Mizzou to provide Missouri with a diverse workforce that is educated and trained to respond to the challenges and needs of the 21st century. Through its two subcommittees, the committee will consider both how Mizzou can provide lifelong educational opportunities to all citizens of Missouri and best educate and train those admitted to its programs. Mizzou develops human capital and supports individuals, businesses and communities across the state by providing the largest number of undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees awarded in Missouri. The committee will consider and recommend how this training, education and outreach can provide an even greater stimulus to the state and its economy and better enhance the lives of all Missourians.

Labor Education Program enhances leadership skills

Since 1963, MU Extension’s Labor Education Program has worked with employee organizations across Missouri and beyond to ensure that workers and their leaders develop the skills necessary to serve as contributing participants in their organizations, as effective representatives in the workplace, and as informed and active members of their communities.
